CLINTON — The body of a 63-year-old Peoria man was recovered from Clinton Lake on Thursday, officials said.

The man’s identity is being withheld pending notification of family. Officials say no foul play is suspected. The DeWitt County Coroner’s Office and Illinois State Conservation Police are investigating.

The Clinton Fire Department was called to the scene around 11 a.m. Thursday, followed by dive teams from Decatur and Hudson. The man was found near the Mascoutin Boat Ramp and pronounced dead at 1:40 p.m., according to a press release.

The conservation police confirmed that another man was in the boat when the incident occurred. The second man was not injured, police said.

The DeWitt County Sheriff's Office and the Farmer City Fire Department also responded to the scene.
