TAYLORVILLE — An 18-year-old Farmersville man was killed Thursday in a vehicle collision on Illinois 48 in Christian County, according to Illinois State Police. 

Austin A. Krager was pronounced dead at Taylorville Memorial Hospital after his vehicle collided with another at 7:54 p.m., police said. Krager was driving a 2014 Ford Fusion eastbound on McAdam Drive. As he attempted to turn left onto Illinois 48, a 41-year-old Taylorville woman was traveling southbound in a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse and struck Krager's vehicle, police said.

A 17-year-old Stonington girl was a passenger in Krager's vehicle. She and the driver of the Traverse were both transported to HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield with injuries considered not life-threatening, according to the report. All occupants were wearing seat belts.

The fatal crash is being investigated by Illinois State Police Reconstruction Officers. There are no charges at this time.
