DECATUR — Snow showers continue to be likely this afternoon and tonight before 10 p.m., and the weather will be unseasonably cold, according to the National Weather Service at Lincoln.

But there is some good news: The sun will, in fact, come out tomorrow.

The weather service predicted cloudy weather during the early evening and a low of 18 degrees tonight. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent, but new snow accumulation would be less than half an inch, it said.

Across Macon County and much of Central Illinois, wind chill temperatures could drop into the single digits. Some roads, and especially bridges, could see slick spots.

Sunny skies and high of near 32 is forecast for Saturday. Partly sunny skies and a high near 41 degrees is projected for Sunday.

Flurries were reported in parts of the region Friday.
