DECATUR — A chance of showers and thunderstorms are predicted this afternoon and tonight, kicking off another streak of cloudy skies and rain, according to the National Weather Service in Lincoln.

A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms are forecast for Tuesday by the weather service. Temperatures will reach a high of 63 degrees and wind gusts up to 15 mph.

Tuesday night, temperatures will dip to the low 50s with a 50 percent chance of showers, the weather service said.
The weather service said showers and thunderstorms are likely Wednesday, mainly after 1 p.m. Cloudy skies, a high near 75 degrees and gusts of winds up to 24 mph are expected.
Thunderstorms are likely through Wednesday night and Thursday throughout the day, according to the weather service. Clouds will part Friday, commencing a weekend of sunshine and temperatures in the 60s.
