THANKSGIVING BOUNTY (copy)

DECATUR — The United Way of Decatur and Mid-Illinois is seeking volunteers of all ages to prepare approximately 4,000 food baskets for the Judy Mason Thanksgiving Basket Project during three Saturdays and one Sunday in November.

Storage and work space will be set up in the old Sears store in Hickory Point Mall in Forsyth from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturdays, Nov. 9, 16 and 23. The large packing day will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24.

No registration is required. Families, grandparents, groups and companies are encouraged to volunteer. Children 5 years and older must be accompanied by an adult.

The Basket Project also accepts financial contributions through feed5for25.com or by mailing a check to The United Way of Decatur and Mid-Illinois, 201 W. Eldorado St., Decatur IL 62526.
