Wyckles Road Construction 3 4.18.18

Road construction crews work on Wyckles Road near Warrensburg.

DECATUR — The following is a list of areas in which road work is scheduled to take place over the next week, according local and state officials.
The schedule is dependent on the weather and other unforeseen circumstances.

The bridges carrying eastbound and westbound U.S. 36 over U.S. 51 in Harristown will continue to be closed for the next six months. The work consists of removing and replacing the bridge decks and is scheduled to be completed by Nov. 16.

A marked detour is currently in place to guide motorist around the bridge closure. If possible, seek alternate routes to avoid the work zone.

Crews will continue reconstructing Wyckles Road this week, from U.S. 36 to Illinois 121, an ongoing project.

Chip-and-seal work will be underway this week as well on Illiniwick Road, stretching between County Roads 21 and 25, through Forsyth and Oreana.

The second phase of the Westside Street Maintenance Project in Mount Zion will continue this week.

Village officials ask residents on Westside Drive from Baltimore Avenue to Main Street to refrain from parking on the street during daytime hours until the project is complete later this week. Residents will have access to their driveways, but there may be short periods of time when access may be limited.
