DECATUR — Rain showers that have covered the Decatur region this morning will continue through the day, the National Weather Service in Lincoln said.

A high temperature of 51 degrees is expected, with wind gusts as high as 29 mph, the weather service said. Showers will diminish in the afternoon.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a low temperature of 35 degrees, according to the weather service. Gusts of wind up to 16 mph are expected.

The sun will come out tomorrow, however, as Thursday is expected to be partly sunny and clear, the weather service said. High temperatures will continue in the low 50s throughout the week. Showers are on the horizon Sunday, when the high will reach 56 degrees.
