CHARLESTON — A police traffic stop of a vehicle at the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Division Street early Friday led to the arrest of a 49-year-old Charleston woman.
Charleston police report Lee Ann Nunamaker was stopped for minor traffic violations. During the stop, it was determined Nunamaker had a suspended driver's license. Police say a search that followed revealed evidence of methamphetamine possession in the form of a smoking pipe and small plastic bag containing a white powdery substance, which field tested positive for meth.

Nunamaker was sent to the Coles County jail on charges of possession of meth. The 2012 vehicle Nunamaker drove was seized pending a vehicle seizure hearing.
