MACON COUNTY—Isolated showers before 11 a.m. and after 1 p.m. can be expected today throughout Macon County, according to the National Weather Service at Lincoln.

Temperatures will reach a high of 93 degrees with the heat index values as high as 102 degrees, the weather service said.

The National Weather Service at Lincoln advises people to wear lightweight clothing, stay hydrated and spend time in the air conditioning.

Isolated showers and storms will happen before 10 p.m. tonight, then become mostly clear with a low temperature of 73 degrees, the weather service said.
