DECATUR — After taking a vote on Facebook, Scovill Zoo has tallied the results and announced the names of two female red panda cubs born at the zoo.

The winning names are Roji (pronounced Rosie) and Xena. The cubs, both female, are part of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Species Survival Plan.

The cubs were born to zoo residents Lali and Pabu, who came to the zoo last year in the hopes that they would breed. The youngsters were born June 25 and eventually will move to another facility. Lali and Pabu will remain at Scovill.
