DECATUR — The following is a list of areas in which road work is scheduled to take place during the next week, according to local and state officials.

The schedule is dependent on the weather and other unforeseen circumstances.


Monday to Friday

City crews will be repairing storm sewers, causing the closure of the 1200 and 1300 blocks of East Moore Street to through traffic during the day.

Kinney Contractors, Inc. will be working on East Fitzgerald Road, causing some lane closures from Lost Bridge Road to Quail Drive during the day between Lost Bridge Road and Quail Drive.


West Main Street will be closed at North Taylor Avenue as well as East McKinley Avenue between North Main and North Water Streets during the day due to sewer line rehabilitation.


Work by Heritage Behavioral Health Center at 151 N. Main St. will partially close the alley until Sept. 16.


Kenney Road will be closed between Wise Road and Poland Road for bridge replacement until Dec. 1.

Kruse Road will be closed between Spitler Park Road and Camp Warren Road for bridge replacement until Nov. 30.


The bridges carrying eastbound and westbound U.S. 36 over U.S. 51 at Harristown continue to be closed for the replacement of bridge decks.

A marked detour is currently in place to guide motorists around the bridge closure.
