MACON COUNTY— A cold front will move across Central Illinois tonight, bringing a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly before midnight, according to the National Weather Service at Lincoln.

The weather service said some storms could produce damaging winds.
A line of thunderstorms is expected to move across portions of central Illinois this evening. Some of these storms could be strong to severe. A high temperature of 87 degrees is expected today, and temperatures will reach a low of 61 degrees tonight, the weather service said.
