DECATUR — Decatur city council and mayor candidates are facing off tonight at two debates at Richland Community College. 

The Herald & Review and WCIA-TV are holding the debates at the Shilling Community Education Center auditorium. 

City council candidates Shavon Francis, Lisa Gregory, Shelith Hansbro and John Phillips and Marty Watkins are debating. Bill Faber and Rodney Walker could not attend.

​Three open seats are in contention in the election.

At 7:15 p.m., mayor candidates David Horn, Jacob Jenkins and Julie Moore-Wolfe will debate.

Central Illinois Editor Chris Coates will moderate the 60-minute forums.

The debates also will be streamed live by Herald & Review media partner WCIA-TV.
