DECATUR — John W. Hall, 77, of Decatur, IL passed away June 28, 2019 at Imboden Creek Living Center. John was born September 21, 1941 in Enid, Oklahoma to William Harvey Hall and Elizabeth Catherine (Smith) Hall. He graduated from Blue Mound H.S. and attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. He married Diana D. Doty on August 17, 1963 in Blue Mound, IL. He retired from Design Air Heating and Air Conditioning, the business he started in the fall of 1977. He was a member of Elwin United Methodist Church. He was a 22 year heart, double-lung transplant survivor, and he was very active in organ donation groups.
Surviving are his wife: Diana “Dee” of Decatur; daughter Christine Ossowski (Troy); son James (Saramanda); grandchildren: William, Wesley, and Diana Hall; and Zachary Ossowski, all of Decatur; sister Mary Elizabeth Pederson of Seattle, WA.

The family is having a private graveside service Tuesday, July 9th. A Celebration of John’s Life for all family, friends, and colleagues will also be held Tuesday, July 9th from 4-7 p.m. at the Beach House. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s name may be made to the Elwin United Methodist Church or Barnes/Jewish Hospital, Lung Transplant Patient Fund
