DECATUR -- Glen Donald Oakleaf, 96, of Decatur, Il., passed away Sunday February 10, 2019 at Fair Haven Christian Village, Decatur.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home 2827 N. Oakland Ave., Decatur. Masonic rites will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday with a visitation to follow until the service time. Memorials may be made to Donor’s Choice.
Donald was born July 3, 1922, in Decatur, Il. The son of Elisha Orville and Susie Alice (Plunkett). He grew up in Niantic. He married Dorothy Ellen Wilson on October 11, 1942 in St. Charles, Mo. She preceded him in death in 1988.
He worked for Decatur Warehouse until it closed and he retired from the Macon County Highway.
He is survived by his daughter Patricia Ann Curry (husband Phillip) and son Terry Glenn (wife Linda). He is also survived by four grandchildren: Tracey Roesch (husband John) their son Joseph, Angela Mitchell (husband Mark) their children: Shelby and Chase, Jason Oakleaf (wife Dawn) their children: Alex and Jacob, Lisa Goveia (husband Rick) their children: Brooke, Logan, Greysen. Other survivors include one sister Lucille Sartory, granddaughter in law Grace Curry, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. One very special friend Luella Lange.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Mary Ellen and Mercedes. Brothers: John, Virgil, Everett, Dan, one infant, and one grandson Thomas Curry.
