DECATUR -- Rosalie Poland, 87, of Decatur, IL passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Fair Havens Christian Home.
A service to honor and celebrate Rosalie’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Dawson & Wikoff North Chapel. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service. Rosalie will be laid to rest in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Central Christian Church or Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois.
Rosalie was born on March 26, 1931 in Lucerne, MO, the daughter of Fred and Lucy (Ward) Roberts. She married Davie W. Poland on January 11, 1953. Rosalie was a member of Central Christian Church and the Country Club of Decatur. She worked for the Federal Reserve Bank and owned a beauty shop. Rosalie was the Past Worthy Matron for OES #184 in Kirksville, MO. She enjoyed golfing and playing bridge.
Rosalie is survived by her husband: Davie W. Poland of Decatur, IL; daughter: Jeannette (Ray) Zerfowski of Mt. Zion, IL; grandson: Justin Wall of Decatur, IL; great grandson: Zachary Sebens-Wall of Mt. Zion, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Anna Lee Thompson and Betty Dunkin and her brother: Fred Roberts, Jr.
