HENTON -- Steven E. Hubner 69, of Henton, IL passed away at 9:29 a.m., Saturday, October 12, 2019, in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

A service to celebrate Steve's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. The family will receive friends for visitation Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family or to the donor's choice. Steve was born August 25, 1950, in Pana, IL the son of August Homer and Marjorie (Brown) Hubner. Steve received his degree in accounting from Eastern Illinois University. He practiced for many years as a CPA and retired from his accounting career working for the Air Float Company. Steve was a member of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church. He had a passion for country living and working out on his farm. His greatest joy was his family. He married Brenda K. Dagley on July 19, 1997.

Steve leaves to cherish his memories, his wife: Brenda; son: Tad August Hubner (Rhonda) of Doswell, VA; daughter-in-law: Nicole Hubner of Decatur; mother: Marjorie Hubner of Tower Hill, brother: Rudy Hubner (Cheryl) of Oreana; sister: Carolyn Corzine (Phil) of Assumption; grandchildren: Taylor Burton (Alex) of Fayetteville, NC, Chase August Hubner of Doswell, VA, Ryan Hubner Jr., Maxwell Hubner, Remington Hubner and Maddalyn Hubner all of Decatur; great grandson: Landon Burton of Fayetteville, NC; father-in-law: Donald Dagley of Decatur; brother-in-law: David Dagley (Terri) of Decatur; sister-in-law: Teresa Coughlin of Oakley, extended family and friends.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, son: Ryan Scott Hubner, brother: Danny Hubner, mother-in-law: Joan Dagley and his brother-in-lawest friend: Terry Coughlin

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the Doctors and staff of Decatur Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion.
