DECATUR -- Mary K. Weakly, 90, of Decatur, IL, passed away Friday, December 7, 2018, at Eagle Ridge of Decatur.
Mary was born September 21, 1928, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Arthur and Helen (Dodge) Mills. A member of the Metropolitan Baptist Church, Mary worked for F.W. Means and Parks Eggs. She married Harold Weakly April 4, 1947 in Decatur and he preceded her in death December 20, 1997.
Surviving are her children: Katherine (James) Hanley of AZ, Darrell “Pete” (Darris) Weakly of Forsyth, and Eric (Shelley) Weakly of MD; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; sister, Margie Whitney of IN; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be Monday, December 10, 2018, from 5 to 7 pm, at the Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Services to celebrate her life will be 10 am, Tuesday, December 11, 2018, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Printing Ministry at Metropolitan Baptist Church.
The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Eagle Ridge for all their loving care and compassion. She truly enjoyed living there and would often tell people how blessed she was to have the opportunity to live there.
