DECATUR -- Lucille R. (Yarborough) Ziegler, 90, died Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 7:20 pm in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

There will be a family-led memorial service on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 11:00 am at Harvest Christian Center (2199 N. Water St., Decatur, IL). Pastor Kirk Henneberry will be officiating. Tanzyus Logan Funeral Service and Care is assisting with arrangements.

Lucille was born February 3, 1928, in Decatur, IL, daughter of Joseph Yarborough and Frances Betts Yarborough. She worked as a beautician after training at Hafford Beauty School; then worked at Shopper’s World until it closed, then attended vocational instruction to obtain her LPN Licensing at the Decatur Vocational Center, and worked as an LPN at St. Mary’s Hospital for 21 years.

Lucille was a devout Christian, had a good sense of humor, but was stubborn. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, spending time with family and friends, and being at church. Her favorite music style was gospel music; she loved cats, birds and cars; and enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, and gardening. We will miss her humor, gentle heart, and loyalty. Her favorite verses were Joshua 24:15 and Acts 16:31.

She is survived by her son, David (Pam) Ziegler, daughter, Linda Lucas; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a niece and nephew; brother, Charles Yarborough; and best friend, Connie Peters.

Lucille was preceded by her parents and nephew, Kirk Yarborough.
