CHICAGO – Archer Daniels Midland Co. has been named by USG Corporation as its Diversity & Inclusion Supplier of the Year for 2018.

USG, a leading manufacturer and distributor of building products and innovative solutions, presents the award to one supplier every year, using criteria including:

  • Commitment to a global supplier diversity program and company culture that promotes diversity and inclusion on all roles/levels
  • Senior leadership view that diversity and inclusion goals are within their responsibility
  • Participation in diversity and inclusion initiatives.

“At ADM, we believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace is both the right thing to do, and a competitive advantage,” said Greg Morris, president of ADM’s Oilseeds business unit and the company’s diversity champion. “A culture of inclusion is one that benefits from the talents and experiences of people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. We’re proud of this recognition, but more importantly, we’re proud of our team’s ongoing commitment to cultivating a talented, diverse workforce at ADM, and throughout the ag and food industries.”

ADM founded and currently leads Together We Grow – a cross-functional council representing industry, academia, NGOs and legislative bodies – that is working to grow the pipeline of diverse talent within the ag and food industries.

The company is also a member of the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion, a CEO-led collaboration pledging to act to cultivate workplaces that are both diverse and inclusive.

And ADM is a frequent partner with Jobs for America’s Graduates, which helps at-risk students stay in school, pursue postsecondary education and secure entry-level jobs.

“We are proud to celebrate the important contributions of our valued employees and partners like Archer Daniels Midland who embrace our commitment to diversity and inclusion, and enable us to deliver the best service to meet the unique needs of our customers and in our communities,” said Jennifer Scanlon, president and chief executive officer of USG Corporation.
