TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) -- Christopher Bostick hit a two-run home run and had three hits, driving in three, and Keegan Akin struck out nine hitters over six innings as the Norfolk Tides defeated the Toledo Mud Hens 6-0 on Thursday. With the victory, the Tides swept the three-game series.

Akin (2-1) picked up the win after he walked one while allowing three hits.

Norfolk scored four runs in the fifth, including an RBI single by DJ Stewart. The Tides scored again in the ninth inning, when Bostick hit a two-run home run.

Matt Hall (2-2) went five innings, allowing four runs and eight hits in the International League game. He also struck out five and walked three.

The Mud Hens were blanked for the third time this season, while the Tides' staff recorded their third shutout of the year.

Norfolk improved to 5-2 against Toledo this season.
