MONTERREY, Mexico (AP) -- Yamaico Navarro hit two home runs and drove in eight runs, as the Sultanes de Monterrey defeated the Piratas de Campeche 16-2 on Wednesday.

Navarro homered twice in an 11-run first for the Sultanes. First he hit a three-run shot off Josh Outman and then he hit a grand slam off Luis Pino. Ramiro Pena singled three times, scoring three runs and driving home a couple in the win.

Monterrey starter Jose De Paula (3-1) picked up the win after allowing three hits over six scoreless innings. Opposing starter Outman (0-1) took the loss in the Mexican League game after allowing seven runs and seven hits while only recording a single out.

Monterrey remains undefeated against Campeche this season at 5-0.
