Fanatics Betting and Gaming is buying the U.S. operations of Australian sportsbook PointsBet for $150 million in a move that will help the sports apparel and memorabilia giant gain market share in the American sports betting and online casino markets. The companies said Sunday night that PointsBet shareholders will vote on the sale in late June. 

Kentucky Derby winner Mage has been installed as the 8-5 morning line favorite for the Preakness. He's the only horse in the field of eight set to take part in the second race of horse racing's Triple Crown two weeks after running in the Derby. It’s the first Preakness since 1969 with just one Derby horse.

A sports integrity monitor has launched a tool to help athletes, coaches and staff anonymously report suspicions about gambling activity to regulators and law enforcement. The tip hotline was announced by U.S. Integrity, a sports data integrity company that played a role in an ongoing investigation into possible wrongdoing involving the University of Alabama baseball team.

Veteran AC Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimović has announced his retirement from soccer in an emotional night at San Siro. Ibrahimović is out of contract with the club at the end of the season and Milan had already announced there would be a special ceremony after its match against Hellas Verona to bid farewell to the 41-year-old. He struggled to hold back the tears as he announced his retirement. 

Alex Palou started and finished first in the Detroit Grand Prix on Sunday, winning his second IndyCar race in less than a month and for the sixth time of his career. The Spaniard won the Indianapolis Grand Prix in May. He led 74 of 100 laps on Detroit’s new street course and went ahead for the last time on lap 77.
