Heisman watch: Is Florida QB Kyle Trask the new favorite?
Florida Gators quarterback Kyle Trask continued his Heisman Trophy-worthy season last week against Arkansas by throwing as many touchdown passes (six) as incompletions. That performance made him the betting favorite, according to one oddsmaker, for the most prestigious individual award in the nation.
Here's an updated look at how Trask measures up against the rest of the field:
Kyle Trask, UF (six games)

Touchdown passes: 28 (first nationally)
Interceptions: 3
Completion percentage: 70.1 (T-10th)
Yards per attempt: 10.3 (T-eighth)
Passing efficiency: 197.52 (sixth)
Rushing: 29 attempts, 78 yards, 0 TDs
Total yards per game: 374.8 (third)
Of note: Trask's 28 touchdown passes are five more than any other SEC passer has ever thrown through six games; Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa had 23 at that point last year.
Justin Fields, Ohio State (three games)

Touchdown passes: 11 (T-31st)
Interceptions: 0
Completion percentage: 86.7 (first)
Yards per attempt: 10.9 (fifth)
Passing efficiency: 222.38 (first)
Rushing: 27 attempts, 57 yards, 2 TDs
Total yards per game: 321.7 (14th)
Of note: Fields has as many incompletions (11) as touchdown passes but had his game called off last week because of an outbreak at Maryland.
Trevor Lawrence, Clemson (six games)

Touchdown passes: 17 (T-10th)
Interceptions: 2
Completion percentage: 70.7 (ninth)
Yards per attempt: 9.6 (T-13th)
Passing efficiency: 178.57 (12th)
Rushing: 29 attempts, 71 yards, 4 TDs
Total yards per game: 317.3 (16th)
Of note: Lawrence missed the Tigers' past two games because of a positive coronavirus test but is set to return this week at Florida State.
Zach Wilson, BYU (eight games)

Touchdown passes: 22 (T-fourth)
Interceptions: 2
Completion percentage: 75.1 (third)
Yards per attempt: 11.4 (fourth)
Passing efficiency: 201.63 (fourth)
Rushing: 50 attempts, 158 yards, 8 TDs
Total yards per game: 333.8 (11th)
Of note: Assuming Wilson can lead BYU past winless North Alabama on Saturday, the Cougars will be 9-0 for only the fourth time ever (and the first since 2001).
Mac Jones, Alabama (six games)

Touchdown passes: 16 (T-13th)
Interceptions: 2
Completion percentage: 78.5 (second)
Yards per attempt: 12.4 (first)
Passing efficiency: 210.32 (third)
Rushing: 18 attempts, minus-9 yards, 1 TD
Total yards per game: 364.5 (T-fourth)
Of note: Alabama quarterbacks have only nine games of at least 400 passing yards in the program's storied history. Three of them are by Jones this year.
