DECATUR — A 13-0 run to start the game lifted the Millikin men's basketball team to an 85-76 win against Illinois College on Wednesday.
The Big Blue (6-4) never trailed after taking a 13-0 lead six minutes into the game, but Illinois College kept it close, trailing by just four (32-28) at half.
But Millikin started to pull away midway through the second half with a run on which Calvin Fisher hit two 3-pointers and three free throws to give Millikin its biggest lead of the game at 74-53 with 6:46 left.
"Every win’s a good win," Millikin coach Mark Scherer said. "I thought we did a good job putting two well-played halves together. That’s been a big goal of ours this season."

Calvin Fisher really led us to a victory and I think Zach Fisher had a good game as well — the Monticello connection was active," Scherer said.
