Millikin women to win over Eureka
DECATUR — The Millikin women's basketball team defeated Eureka College 88-79 on Tuesday at the Griswold Center.
Millikin led 19-17 at the end of the first quarter before Eureka went ahead 30-20 with 7:18 left in the first half. The Big Blue then got hot and went out a 27-11 scoring run to build a 47-41 advantage at halftime.
Millikin shot 56 percent from the field in the second quarter.

For the game, the Big Blue shot 51 percent from the field and went 8-for-19 (42 percent) from 3-point range. Millikin went 11-for-15 from the field (73 percent) in the fourth quarter to hold off a late charge by Eureka.
The Red Devils shot 45 percent from the field and went 6-for-18 from 3-point range. Both teams took 67 shots in the game. Eureka won the rebounding battle 38 to 35.
Millikin (3-7) had five players score in double figures lead by senior Yanni Saddler with 29 points, five rebounds and three assists. Freshman Aubrey Staton had 21 points and seven rebounds. Briana Anthony had 12 points and six rebounds followed by Jordan Hildebrand with 11 points and five boards. Aubrey Magro had 10 points and eight assists.
Eureka (3-6) also have five players score in double figures led by Kennedy Dura and Ashley Harfst with 14.
