Former Cardinal, Cub player holding clinics
Former Major League Baseball pitcher Pat Perry, a native of Taylorville is holding baseball clinics in Shelbyville and Sullivan.
Perry, who pitched for St. Louis, Cincinnati, the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers from 1985 to 1990, has held camps and given lessons for years around his current home of St. Louis and hometown of Taylorville.
Perry will have a three-day baseball camp in Shelbyville from May 28-31, then in Sullivan from July 8-10.

DWGA Spring Fling on June 7
The Decatur Women's Golf Association Spring Fling will be held on June 7 at Red Tail Run.
Deadline to sign up is May 31. Entry fee/lunch is $30 payable at any Pro Shop. Spring Fling will be a 4-person A, B, C, D draw scramble. Handicap index or (typical Score) is required.

Bartholomew chooses college
Eisenhower senior Riley Bartholomew has announced her decision to play volleyball at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
Bartholomew, a senior libero, started varsity for two years and led the Panthers in digs this season. She played club volleyball for Peak Performance out of Champaign.
St. Louis College of Pharmacy is an NAIA program competing in the American Midwest Conference.
Millikin's Dixon headed to nationals
Millikin sophomore Mackenzie Dixon will compete at the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships from May 23-25 at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva Ohio.
Dixon qualified for the 800-meter run with a time of 2:11.82, which is 10th fastest in the field. This is Dixon’s second straight appearance in the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Dixon will compete in the prelims on Friday at 3 p.m. The 800 finals are scheduled for Saturday at 12:50 p.m.
Decatur shows well at IESA track meets
Decatur junior high track programs performed well at the recent IESA state track meets.
The top finish came from the Robertson eighth-grade 4x100 relay team, which took second at the eighth-grade Class A Meet.
Dennis' Noah Sloan took third in the seventh-grade Class A shot put, while Our Lady of Lourdes' Caleb Kernahgan had a third-place finish in the eighth-grade 400.
Also for Our Lady of Lourdes, the seventh-grade 4x400 relay took fifth, the seventh-grade 4x200 team was ninth, and Joe Brummer took eighth in the eighth-grade 110 hurdles.
Also for Robertson, Avereon Normal was sixth in the 100 and eighth in the long jump in eighth-grade.
Garfield's R'Legend Hamilton took seventh in the seventh-grade 100, Hope's Kyra Herron was seventh in the eighth-grade 100, and Hope's eighth-grade 4x200 team took 10th.
