Eisenhower will play its home games at its own field this year and will host MacArthur on Friday, Oct. 18, for the annual city game.

DECATUR — Decatur Public Schools has released a statement clarifying the entrance policy for the Friday, Oct. 18 MacArthur at Eisenhower football game.

In Monday's DPS release, which announced the game time had been moved from 7 p.m. to 5 p.m., it should have read: "All elementary and middle school students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to enter the game."

The district announced on Monday gates at Eisenhower's John Alexander Field will open at 4 p.m. for this year's city game, and the district will have enhanced security procedures.

"Fans are subject to security screenings and/or bag checks as part of the extra safety precautions," the release stated.

At halftime, Eisenhower will recognize its seniors and the latest DPS Athletic Hall of Fame class will be inducted.
