First team

C — Mackenzi Tabbert, Sr., Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg

Tabbert, who is equally praised for her work behind the plate, was a force at the plate for the Hatchets, hitting .496 with 10 home runs, 10 doubles and six triples while driving in 55 runs. She had a .555 on-base percentage and slugged .940.

P/3B — Megan Schlechte, Sr., Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg

Schlechte, the Area Player of the Year, was both a shut-down pitcher and a power bat in the lineup. She was a co-ace of the staff, with a 0.94 ERA with 133 strikeouts in 119.2 innings. She also hit .469 with 10 doubles, six triples, 10 homers and 55 RBIs. 

SS — Natalie Bates, Sr., Tuscola

Back healthy, Bates swiped 50 bags, hit .510 with a .553 on-base percentage to go with 10 doubles, three triples, two home runs and scored 51 runs on a good Warriors team, and played great defense.

P — Allie Dunn, Sr., Central A&M

Dunn's presence in the batter's box struck fear into the heart of every opposing pitcher, hitting .545 with a .637 on-base percentage that accompanied 20 home runs, 47 RBI, and 34 runs scored. In the circle, she had a 1.22 ERA with 189 strikeouts in 114 innings pitched.

2B — Reagan Miller, Sr., Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond

Miller has been among the area's best in all of her high school seasons. As a senior, she hit .535 with 31 RBI to go with 25 stolen bases for the Knights, who found their stride in the back half of the season.

P — Makenzie Brown, So., Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond

Brown is a flame-throwing pitcher for the Knights, who caught fire in the postseason. On the year, she had 240 strikeouts in just 111 innings, threw two no-hitters and had a 1.20 ERA.

CF — Carson Cole, Sr., Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg 

The W/SS leadoff hitter set the table for a good lineup behind her. She hit .479 with a .573 on-base percentage that led to 59 runs scored. She hit 18 doubles, two triples and three home runs while providing a steady glove in the outfield.

P/1B — Allie Day, Sr., Effingham St. Anthony

Day helped the Bulldogs win a regional championship both as a hitter and a pitcher. She hit .574 with 11 doubles, four triples, six home runs and 43 RBI. As a pitcher, she threw 110 innings with a 3.87 ERA.

IF — Macey McElravy, Sr., Charleston

Charleston had bats up and down its lineup, and McElravy was a huge part of the depth. She hit .560 with eight homers, 10 doubles, two triples, drove in 52 runs and scored 49 runs of her own on the way to a sectional championship game.

OF — Ramsey Armstrong, Jr., Charleston

It says something to lead a powerful team in home runs, but that's what Armstrong did for Charleston with 12. She had a .486 average, .565 on-base percentage, three triples, 11 doubles and 47 RBI for the Trojans while scoring 41.

IF — Reagan McGahey, So., Charleston

McGahey followed a stellar freshman year with a powerful junior year. She hit .566 with seven homers, six triples, nine doubles and 39 RBI. She also was a run-scoring machine, scoring 52 on the season.

P — Claire Maulding, Jr., Casey-Westfield

Few pitchers were as good as Maulding. She had 214 strikeouts in 103 innings in the circle with a 1.49 ERA. At the plate, she hit .407 with 14 doubles and seven home runs. 

Second team

SS — Emma Mason, Fr., Casey-Westfield

Mason hit .464 with a .491 on-base percentage to go with 18 doubles, a triple and six home runs as a freshman.

P — Kaitlyn Reifsteck, So., Tuscola

The Warriors' ace was 17-3 with 205 strikeouts and a 0.96 ERA while hitting .318 with nine doubles and a pair of homers.

P/3B — Calla Roney, Sr., Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg

Despite missing nearly a month, Roney had 98 strikeouts in 64.1 innings pitched with a 1.31 ERA and hit .430 with seven doubles and six home runs.

3B — Jessie Martin, So., Tuscola

Martin hit .458 with a .505 on-base percentage with 11 doubles, three triples and 28 RBI.

INF —Katie Kabbes, Sr., Effingham St. Anthony

She hit .460 with 10 doubles, two triples and five home runs.

CF — Areka Burke, Jr., Oblong

Burke's batting average of .530 speaks for itself and she was one of the best players for Oblong.

2B — Ava Bennett, Jr., Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg

Great glove and strong bat, Bennett hit .396 with nine doubles, three triples, two homers and 28 RBI.

P — Emily Price, Jr., Charleston

Price went 20-4 with a 3.01 ERA and 126 strikeouts in 143 innings. In 76 at-bats, she hit .560 with eight homers, a triple, seven doubles and 24 RBI.

C — Madison Vogel, Sr., Okaw Valley

Vogel hit .458 with four home runs and 18 RBI for the Timberwolves.

SS/P — Madison Hendrix, Jr., Cumberland

She hit .432 with 12 doubles, two triples, three home runs, 18 RBI and scored 32 runs.

INF — Mikayla Denton, Jr., Central A&M

Denton scored 28 runs while hitting .400 with a 1.176 on-base plus slugging to go with three homers and 23 RBI.

P — Kenzi Smith, Newton

As a pitcher, she had a 2.11 ERA and she hit six home runs and hit .473.
