LAST MEETING: Danville beat Eisenhower 29-7 last season.
LAST WEEK: Danville lost to Normal West 28-21; Eisenhower lost to MacArthur 58-8.
KEY PLAYERS: For Danville, Trent Sherfield, Sr., QB/S, Chris Collier, Sr., WR; Latrey Reed, So., LB/RB; Tyvon Cooper, Jr., DE/RB
For Eisenhower, Braxton Woodland, Jr., RB/LB; Dylan Smith, Sr., QB; James Woodland, Jr., DB/WR; Dillon Walters, Sr., OL
KEYS TO THE GAME: Just past halfway through the season, Eisenhower will try to steal one from a disappointed Danville team.
Danville’s schedule has not been easy through four weeks. Between playing two of the tougher teams in the Big 12 and St. Rita, the Vikings have been beat up through the first four weeks to a 1-3 record. Panthers need to watch out for the electric Sherfield-Collier connection, which has hooked up for more than 600 yards and nine touchdowns. If Eisenhower can sustain drives the way it did against Central two weeks ago, it’ll lift a heavy burden from the defense. The Panthers’ D, which one year ago played competitively in the Big Twelve, has let 145 points go. If there was a week where they’ll play a defense they
could do that against, this is it — Danville has allowed 144 points itself.
