Corey Crawford

Chicago Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford (50) was one of 57 players invited to training camp.

Sept. 11--The Blackhawks announced their training camp roster Tuesday, and although goalie Corey Crawford is among the 57 players listed, it's still unknown if he'll participate when the first practice is held Friday morning.

Crawford missed the final 3 1/2 months of last season with what is believed to be a concussion-related injury.

The camp roster is made up of 30 forwards, 20 defensemen and seven goalies. It includes defenseman Brandon Davidson, who spent time with the Canadiens, Oilers and Islanders last year. Davidson appears to be the only player invited on a professional tryout contract.

This year's first-round picks, Adam Boqvist and Nicolas Beaudin, will both be at camp, though neither is expected to make the team. The defensemen are among Hawks prospects who have been participating in the Traverse City Prospects Tournament that concludes Tuesday. The Blackhawks squad went 2-1 in their round-robin games and play a team of Wild prospects in the third-place game at 6:30 p.m..

The Hawks' first preseason game is Sept. 18 against the Blue Jackets in Columbus while their preseason home opener is Sept. 25 against the Red Wings.

The regular season begins Oct. 4 against the Senators in Ottawa.
