CHICAGO -- Millikin's freshmen Jordan Hildebrand recorded her first career double-double Wednesday but it wasn't enough for the Big Blue in a 67-61 loss to North Park.

Millikin outplayed the Vikings in three of the four quarters but had trouble in the second frame.

"The difference was the second quarter," Millikin coach Lori Kerans said. "We won the other three quarters but in the second we got outscored 22-14."

Hildebrand scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, both career highs for the freshman forward.

Devin Curry added 17 points and Cassie Somers scored 15 for the Big Blue.

Millikin shot 34 percent from the field while the Vikings connected on 44 percent.

A bright spot for the Big Blue was in the rebounding game led by Lauren Moses' team-high 13 boards.

Millikin won the rebounding battle 43-29, but committed 22 turnovers to North Park's 17.

"We have to take care of the ball a little better," Kerans said. "I would like to get that down to between 12 and 15."

Gabby Sandoval led North Park with 20 points.

Millikin is now 3-3, 0-2 while North Park goes to 5-1, 2-0.

The Big Blue will host Carroll University on Saturday at 5 p.m.
