FORSYTH — Drivers and teams throughout central Illinois are showing off their newly painted rides this weekend at Hickory Point Mall in Forsyth.
The Macon and Lincoln Speedway car show is back for a fourth straight year after a near 20-year hiatus.
The show is three days long with cars on display now through 5 p.m. Sunday. Track Enterprises, which owns Macon and Lincoln Speedways, will also have a booth set up from handing out information about the tracks, including pocket schedules. United Midwestern Promoters (UMP) memberships will be on sale in addition to a signup box for a chance to win Macon Speedway and Lincoln Speedway season opener tickets.
The car show is the unofficial start to the season. Test and tune events will be held March 23 at Macon Speedway and March 24 at Lincoln Speedway. Lincoln Speedway’s 16th season of racing will take the green flag on Friday, April 12th, while the 74th Macon Speedway season opener is set for Saturday, April 13.
