The construction of bridges over Lake Decatur along Reas Bridge Road was one of several infrastructure projects highlighted during the State of the Community event Thursday, April 24, in Mount Zion. Macon County Board Chairman Kevin Greenfield said the first two lanes, which includes two bridges, will be completed in a few weeks, with construction on the second, duplicate section starting after that. He said the county is still in need of $3 million to fully fund the project.
