GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team and women's lacrosse team combined for six student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators All-District At-Large team, announced by the organization Tuesday, June 16. From women's golf, juniors Emily Gastrau (Wauwatosa, Wis.-Wauwatosa East) and Nora Cerroni (Waukesha, Wis.-Waukesha North), along with sophomores Gigi Zera (Glenview, Ill.-Loyola Academy) and Grace Fagan (Kirkwood, Mo.-Visitation Academy) each earned the honor. Senior Payton Riepe (Aurora, Ill.-St. Francis) and sophomore Marli Brown (Kansas City, Mo.-Notre Dame de Sion) represented the women's lacrosse team.

Through her three seasons with the Titans, Gastrau has a 4.0 GPA in business. Finishing the best season of her career, the junior posted a stroke average of 77.4 over 24 rounds. She picked up her first career win at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championship in October with a 54-hole score of 222. At the championship, Gastrau shared the Elite 26 award with Fagan as the two shared the highest GPA among All-CCIW performers.
Cerroni is the lone women's golf repeat Academic All-District awardee as she garnered the award in 2025. The junior is majoring in biochemistry on the pre-dental track and has a 3.90 GPA. Cerroni compiled a 77.6 stroke average this season in 24 rounds. She carded the best round of her career, three-under 69, at the WashU Spring Invite and placed second individually. Cerroni finished fifth at the CCIW Championship to earn First Team All-CCIW honors.
Zera wrapped up a successful sophomore campaign with a 3.53 GPA in kinesiology and allied health. Zera was named the CCIW's women's golfer of the year at the conclusion of the season. The Glenview, Ill. native posted a 76.7 stroke average this season and was also named WGCA All-Region for the first time in her career. Zera picked up her first career win this spring at the Division II SMSU Classic with a career-best 36-hole score of 145.
Fagan shared the CCIW's Elite 26 award with Gastrau as she has a 4.0 GPA in psychology and Hispanic studies. She finished up her sophomore season with the best rounds of her career. Fagan posted a career-best four-under 68 en route to her first win at the Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling April 11-12. Fagan was named CCIW Golfer of the Week twice throughout the season and earned First Team All-CCIW.
Riepe, who earned the honor for the second time in her career after receiving it in 2024, concluded a strong career for the women's lacrosse team. Serving as a co-captain this season, Riepe appeared and started in all 17 games, finishing third on the team with 29 caused turnovers. She added 12 goals and two assists for 14 points, 39 ground balls, and 36 draw controls. Riepe graduated with a 3.71 GPA in elementary education.
Receiving the accolade for the first time in her career, Brown picks up the academic award after boasting a 3.98 GPA in education. Brown appeared in all 17 games for the Titans, starting all but one in goal. The sophomore led the team with 140 saves, the fifth-most in a season in program history, behind a .389 save percentage and a 5-9 record between the pipes. Brown finished tied for second on the team with 49 ground balls and notched 13 caused turnovers.
Zera, Fagan, and Gastrau advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, with the team set to be released Tuesday, July 7.
