Rock Island, IL - Millikin University men's golf was in action on Sunday, taking part in the final round of the 2026 Highland Championship, hosted by Augustana College. The Big Blue closed with a strong round, improving to finish tied for 7th place as a team.
Millikin shot a 289 in the closing round, an eight stroke improvement from their round on Saturday. Jake Krstulovich and Will Ross finished with a 147 (+3), to take 19th place leading the A-team. Marcus Aronsson collected another 74 to finish at 148 (+4) on the weekend, placing him in a tie for 30th. Dominick Emig's weekend total of 149 (+5) was good to tie for 36th, and Trevor Biggerstaff's score of 151 (+7) was tied for 50th in the standings.

The Big Blue B-team placed 5th overall in the standings, shooting an eight stroke improvement over their opening round score.
Jacob Armstrong shot a stellar 11-stroke improvement in his final round, collecting a score of 66 (-6). His total of 141 (-3) placed him in a tie for 3rd in the tournament. Alex McMillin placed in a tie for 30th with a total of 148 (+4). Ethan Noellsch concluded a solid weekend in a tie for 36th at 149 (+5). Teddy Walbaum was also tied for 36th when the dust settled. Alex Grenier rebounded from an opening round 83, shooting a ten-stroke improvement in his closing round to finish at 155 (+11), which tied him for 69th.
"We have competitive depth this year, possible the most we've ever had," said Director of Golf Sam Osborne '10. "Both teams were rolling today, and it was just a tough stretch of holes on the back nine that kept us from being very close to the win. Loved how our guys responded today, especially Jacob Armstrong."
The Big Blue are back in action on September 14, when they take part in opening round action of the Carthage Classic.
